How You Can Volunteer

Volunteer Opportunities for Backpacks of Love include:

Do a fundraiser for the organization.
Promote our posts on social media and raise awareness for the organization and the fundraisers we are currently running.
Do a food drive.
Deliver food bags to the schools.
Research grant opportunities for the organization to apply to.
Volunteer at our fundraising events.
Do a peanut butter food drive a few times a year.
Do a Facebook fundraiser for us.
Pack food bags for the children.
Connect us with other community organizations that you are involved with.
Take recycled materials over to Powhatan refuse center for recycling.
Clean inside and outside of pantry.
For those that own or run businesses that sell products or services run a percentage of sales campaign for a day, week, or whatever time that gives a certain amount of the proceeds back to Backpacks of Love. We will also work with your company to promote your giving on our social media sites. If you have a banner or sign, we will also post it in our pantry which hundreds of volunteers come to and help us pack and deliver to the schools.
